Farley Music Festival presents Viktor Bijelovic (piano)

Viktor is an old friend of Farley, having played at one of the first festivals. This Serbian pianist is a musician of exceptional charm and technical brilliance. His return visit offers a chance to see just how much this artist has matured recently in a programme that includes Chopin’s magnificent Ballades and Liszt’s Stunning 6^th Hungarian Rhapsody.

Viktor Bijelovic has already accumulated considerable experience on the concert platform both as a solo pianist as well as a chamber musician, with concerts in France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Switzerland and Yugoslavia as well as Britain, and making several TV and radio appearances.

Winner of several prestigious international competitions, he has performed in many important venues, including Sadler’s Wells with The Pina Bausch Wuppertal Tanztheater, The Salle Gaveau Concert Hall in Paris and The Kolarac Concert Hall in Belgrade. He has performed for HRH Prince Charles twice – at Buckingham Palace, to mark the occasion of his 50th Birthday Celebration and in May 2006 to inaugurate the Tent of Peace at St Ethelburga’s, London.

Viktor was a guest performer at the 5^thASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition in Malaysia in November 2011. He also plays regularly for a charity which organizes concerts for dementia sufferers, the Lost Chord. He performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to great acclaim in August 2012 and his new CD entitled “Empassioned” was released in July 2013 to great reviews.
