Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on a theme by Tallis; Paul Carr: Awakening; Hubert Parry: Blest Pair of Sirens Carr's music is well-known to Radio 3 listeners; Awakening has been specially commissioned by Bournemouth Symphony Chorus and SMS. Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will accompany the concert, its first collaboration with SMS for many years. The orchestra serves the South and South-West of England, and also has a national and international reputation. The conductor will be the Cathedral's Director of Music, David Halls.
