Bach’s Monumental Goldberg Variations- Performed by International Concert Pianist, Ronan Magill

The Dominic Seligman agency returns to Arundells once more. This time international concert pianist, Ronan Magill, will perform J.S. Bach’s monumental Goldberg Variations BWV 988. The programme will also include Chopin’s great Sonata no.3 in B minor op.58 & Nocturne in E flat op.55 no.2.

Ronan Magill is a British concert pianist and composer.  He was one of the last pupils of Benjamin Britten who wrote of him: “I was amazed at his general musicality and intelligence, and his is a remarkable gift.” Magill was a founder member of the Yehudi Menuhin School and his later teachers included Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and Nikita Magaloff. As composer, his striking piano work “Titanic” is a suite of five pieces describing the power of the sea. He divides his time between living in Japan and the UK.

Performed in the drawing room at Arundells on Sir Edward Heath’s beloved Steinway Piano.

Concert starts at 7pm, gates will open at 6:30pm

Please note that Arundells will be closed to the public when you arrive, so do not be put off by the gates being closed, if you wait at the front we shall come and let you.

We are unable to offer parking at Arundells but there are plenty of nearby carparks in the centre of town that are not a long walk away.

All tickets are non refundable but you are very welcome to pass them on to friends or family if you are unable to attend.
