A Festival celebrating music, worship and liturgy.

Friday 15 July

10:00 Choral Mattins

The Girl Choristers and Lay Vicars of Salisbury Cathedral. Music by Stanford, Sanders and Franck.

11:30 Concert

Music by WolfVaughan Williams, and Shostakovich.

16:30 Choral Evensong

The Boy Choristers and Lay Vicars of Chichester and Salisbury Cathedrals. Music by Bevan and Vaughan Williams.

17:30 Patrons Welcome in West Cloisters

This is an opportunity for Patron Members of Southern Cathedrals Festival to meet fellow members in the West Cloister following Evensong. Tickets are available to all patron members from SCF. More information on becoming a patron.

18:30 Concert

The Gesualdo Six. Music by Byrd, Purcell, Tallis and others!

21:00 Late Nigh Bach by Candlelight

David Halls and Alistair Watson play selections from ‘The 48’

 

Saturday 16 July

10:30 Festival Eucharist

The combined Girl Choristers and Gentlemen of the three Cathedrals. Music by Vaughan Williams.

12:15 Festival Lunch at The White Hart

14:30 Concert

Elizabeth Kenny in St Thomas’s Church. Music to include arrangements of the Bach violin sonatas.

18:30 Concert

‘The Creation’ by Haydn performed by the combined Choristers and Gentlemen of the three Cathedrals, accompanied by The Hanover Band and with well-renowned soloists.
