The baroque mæstro Trevor Pinnock, whose 80th birthday falls this year, has given memorable harpsichord recitals in aid of Cherubim. Now he is bringing his unique authority as a conductor to the repertoire for which he is internationally renowned.
Cellist Vashti Hunter was the awardee of the Trust’s first instrument, bought with funds from the Rothermere Foundation, and performed at our earliest Tisbury Music Cafés in 2007. Now cellist with the award-winning Trio Gaspard, Vashti lives in Vienna and pursues a career as a soloist, teacher and chamber musician.
Joining Vashti in cello duets by Barrière is Ivan Carillo, current awardee of the same Collin-Mezin ‘Rothermere’ cello.
Finally, two stunning young violinists from Eltham College, London Nirvana Che-Lai & Emily Li are soloists in the Bach.
