The Farrant Singers – A Birthday Miscellany

A concert to celebrate the 70th birthday of our co-director Andrew Barry Mackay, hence the title ‘A Birthday Miscellany’. Everything in the programme has some connection with a part of his life and this will all be explained by 2 of his closest and longest standing friends Richard Brett and Paul Burgon. We are thrilled, as joining us as guest conductor is Ralph Allwood, organist Robert Quinney and string quartet with Daphne Moody, Miranda Dodd, Andrew Bellis and Rickman Godlee. The Farrant Singers is the longest-established chamber choir in Salisbury, with close links to the medieval city, the surrounding Wiltshire villages and the Cathedral, where the choir occasionally sings the services in place of the Cathedral Choir.
