St John Singers Summer Concert – All you need is Love

” All you need is Love ” – an exploration of Love through poetry, prose and music.The choir will be led by Steve Abbott ( Conductor ) and accompanied by Ben Mills.The choir will be joined by Lisa Day and Robert Gordon Clark, and together will present an evening of Shakespeare to Bernstein, via the Bronte sisters, Robert Browning, Vaughan-Williams, Sting, and many more.Lisa Day and Robert Gordon Clark are Founder Members of PlayGC, a London and West Country based theatre company.

SAINT JOHN SINGERS

St John Singers was founded almost 50 years ago by John Powell MBE our Emeritus Director of Music. We are a mixed choir of some fifty voices with members coming from Salisbury and the surrounding area. The choir enjoys a varied repertoire covering sacred and secular music from the Tudor period to the present day. Our concerts have supported nearly two hundred different charities over the years, raising significant funds for them.
