The programme will feature a wide range of sacred music: two beautifully expressive settings of Ubi Caritas by Gjeilo and Durufle; the renaissance gem Rejoice in the Lord Alway; anthems by Chilcott and Rutter: Watch over us by Esther Bersweden (featuring Barney Wainwright, saxophone). Four arrangements of African American Spirituals by Richard Shephard; organ solos by composers William Byrd and Paul Leddington Wright. There will be an opportunity for audience participation, and upbeat arrangements of Every time I feel the spirit and Lord of the Dance by local composer Philip Lawson and Daid Willcocks respectively.
