Salisbury Sinfonia Concert

Join Salisbury Sinfonia in St. Thomas’ church to enjoy music from three composers from different periods and different times of their lives.  The strings will open with Britten’s Simple Symphony, composed when Britten was 20, based on themes composed when he was a child.  Sinfonia’s wind players will then perform Dvorak’s Wind Serenade, composed in 1878 when the composer was well established.  The concert concludes with Haydn’s final Symphony, no 104, known as the ‘London’, premiered in 1795.
