Salisbury Musical Society: Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius

Salisbury Musical Society sing Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius, one of his best-loved works, setting words by St John Henry Newman.

This concert will be conducted by the Cathedral’s Director of Music David Halls.

The soloists are: mezzo soprano Catherine Carby; tenor Paul Nilon; bass Jonathan Lemalu

Salisbury Musical Society is a mixed choir of about 120 voices. We perform major classical choral works in public concerts that are normally given in Salisbury Cathedral, three times a year, accompanied by a full orchestra.
