Salisbury Musical Society: Mozart Requiem and Bach Magnificat

Salisbury Musical Society sing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem. This work was written in the last year of Mozart’s life, and was left uncompleted when he died, with several movements finished by Franz Xaver Süssmayr. Nevertheless it is considered to be one of Mozart’s finest works.

Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat was written in 1723 and was the first major liturgical composition on a Latin text written by Bach.

Salisbury Symphony Orchestra will accompany SMS.

The conductor will be the Cathedral’s Director of Music, David Halls.
