The South Transept Recital Series: The Faces of Night in Chopin

Join us for an illustrated talk by Professor John Rink, one of the world’s foremost authorities on the music of Fryderyk Chopin. In his talk, Professor Rink will describe the role of light and dark in muic by the Polish composer Chopin, focussing in particular on the Nocturnes. Contrasting passages from familiar and less familiar pieces will be compared in an exploration of musical chiarascuro.

Our South Transept recital series will conclude on Friday 4 October and there will be an auction held after the final recital in aid of the Organ Fund. More details here.
