Farrant Singers Concert

‘How Dazzling Fair’ is the Farrant Singers’ summer concert, at St Thomas’s Church in Salisbury.  The programme of choral greats features music by Samuel Sebastian Wesley and Charles Wood – both being remembered in anniversaries this year.

There’s lots more by composers directly connected with the choir, including pieces by Richard Lloyd, Richard Shephard, Sam Hanson, Barry Ferguson and Howard Moody written specially for the choir’s 50th anniversary in 2008, and the programme finishes with some familiar songs arranged by Philip Lawson.

FARRANT SINGERS

The Farrant Singers is the longest-established chamber choir in Salisbury, with close links to the medieval city, the surrounding Wiltshire villages and the Cathedral, where the choir occasionally sings the services in place of the Cathedral Choir.
