The Gesualdo Six: Morning Star

Join The Gesualdo Six at St Martin’s Church in Salisbury and step into an enchanting sequence of festive works for the season of Epiphany.

Plainchant is the magical thread here: this timeless music crosses ages, linking together choral miniatures from six centuries – from the sacred raptures of Byrd and de Lassus to modern masterpieces by Arvo Pärt, John Rutter, and the Six’s own director Owain Park. On a January night, these are songs of light, renewal and the coming spring: music that glows in the dark.

SAINT MARTIN’S CHURCH

St. Martin’s proclaims catholic faith and order within the Church of England. It is the oldest parish in the city of New Sarum, Salisbury. In fact our foundation pre-dates the establishment of the city by at least 200 years.
