Come Fly With Me: A Celebration of Swing, Jazz and Big Band Classics
An evening in celebration of swing, jazz and big band classics given by Salisbury Big Band.Get ready to be swept off your feet as the Salisbury Big Band returns to the Army Flying Museum with a toe-tapping celebration of swing, jazz, and big band classics. Known for their infectious energy and impeccable musicianship, this talented 19-piece ensemble is making waves with performances that channel the golden age of music—from Glenn Miller and Count Basie to more contemporary big band favourites.
Hear vocalist, Damian Hayes sing a selection of songs by artists such as Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé. The Band’s resident guitarist, Freddie D’Albert (who was the guitarist for The Drifters for many years) will be playing his iconic guitar solos in the Drifters’ classic, ‘Such a Night’ – with Damian on vocals.
The Salisbury Big Band performs across Wiltshire and beyond, regularly appearing at festivals, private functions, charity fundraisers, and themed vintage events. Their repertoire is perfect for dancing, listening, or simply soaking up the atmosphere with friends and family.
